Exciting News!
On behalf of the BC Summer Reading Club, we are excited to announce our 2022 Artist– Elaine Chen!
Elaine Chen is a Vancouver-based illustrator and visual artist for video games. Her family immigrated to Canada in 2001 where she fell in love with Canadian summers and grew up in the Toronto area. She completed her degree at Sheridan College in Animation and has so far illustrated three picture books including My Day with Gong Gong by Sennah Lee. Elaine’s artwork is inspired by the natural world, family, and friendship. When looking for an artist for our 2022 theme, All Together Now, Elaine’s signature style was the perfect match and we cannot wait for you the artwork. She shares her home with her partner and gray tabby cat, Honey.
