Fairware orders now open
This year's Fairware portal for SRC t-shirts, hats, and tattoos is now live! Orders will only be available until Friday, April 14th, April 14th @ 11:59pm. Please note that BC SRC will only hold a very small amount of extras for ordering after the deadline, sizes are not guaranteed. Please share the Fairware link with your staff. Furthermore, to save on shipping costs, if you do a group order the flat rate shipping fee to your library applies. We have many sizes available in a unisex, women's, and kids shirts. 2023 BC SRC Preview
2023 Theme and Art Introduction A few emails have been trickling in with questions about BC Summer Reading Club 2023, and we are very excited to share the news about BC SRC 2023: Journey through Time! For this year’s time travel theme, we worked with Richmond-based artist and illustrator, Jeni Chen, who created some dino-mite art by mixing the past, present, and future together. Her artwork features dinosaurs and robots (an absolutely winning combination!) and captures all the various sub-themes. It’s that time of year again where we celebrate the amazing work that public libraries do to connect their communities to BC Summer Reading Club. Every summer, libraries across the province create meaningful programs and engagement with children and their families through BC SRC. Announcement for BC SRC 2023 Artist – Jeni Chen
On behalf of everyone at the BC Summer Reading Club, our committee is thrilled to announce that our 2023 BC SRC Artist, Jeni Chen! Jeni will be creating art for our 2023 time travel theme - Journey Through Time. Jeni is an artist from Richmond, B.C. artist with experience creating public art installations and leading engaged community workshops. In 2022, she authored and illustrated her first children's picture book, Emet’s Box (2022), a story that encourages self-discovery and finding one's passion and an ode to her son.
